Meet the New Mac

Same as the old Mac.

Well, not really. It's got a nice 27" screen whereas our old one was 24". Our computer was becoming famous around this location of the Apple Store for needing virtually everything replaced, so it's probably good that we sucked it up and just got a new one.

It's giving me a terrible headache because there's so much screen to look at, but we've been assured that we'll grow accustomed to it.

Maclessness Continued

Seems the Mac is as sick as a dog, so life continues on with the world's dinkiest PC. Yay.

We have a little snow on the ground, but not as much as we had last week. Last week was definitely a mess. Sadly I can't hook up my Nikon to the PC, so I can't post the wonderful pictures of my little doggies playing in the snow. Boy howdy, I can't wait to get the Mac back.

Speaking of the Nikon and the Mac, I need Lightroom. So keep that in mind if you're the type of person who buys me birthday presents.

And as long as I'm talking photography, I got myself a nice cheap Polaroid Spectra on eBay and film from the Impossible Project. Spectra film isn't square like regular SX-70 or 600 film but rather wide--more like what you get when you order your 4x6 prints. Look forward to seeing what I'm talking about on Chandler Photo. Anyway, it should be a nice complement to my SX-70.

Curses! My beloved Mac is in the shop for a week! That means I have to use our little, tiny, dinky PC laptop instead. I think blogs will be less frequent because this is one of those micro-mini computers that people thought were a good idea for a while and then came to their senses (call me crazy, but I like a full keyboard), so I apologize to the tiny readership of the Loquat. I also can't post pictures of the lovely snow we got or update Chandler Photo or anything cool and interesting like that. It's truly a sad day in Computerland.
